The research was conducted (held) in frames of project “Long-term system of provision comprehensive services for HIV / AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support for vulnerable groups and people living with HIV”, which is realized by “All-Ukrainian Network of PLWH” with  support of The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The aim of the study was to design and approve the methodology of monitoring the availability and quality of health services for PLWH in regional AIDS centers from patient’s point of view. Evaluation of patient’s satisfaction with work of AIDS centers was made by following components: accessibility, acceptability, focus on patient, care and timeliness of medical care and satisfaction with it, continuity of medical care, compliance.

The methods of data collection:

  • standardized interview with patients of regional AIDS centers  in form of face-to-face interview, which were held by volunteers or social workers of HIV-services NGOs.
  • Filling in “Passports of services, which AIDS center afford” by regional coordinators of project with representatives of AIDS centers.

Total number of respondents was 2600 PLWH patients of regional AIDS centers.
