In this survey was studied the dynamics of knowledge in infection control problem of medical staff and usage of this knowledge in practice of TB and HIV/AIDS services during project realization period in 2012-2014. The project also investigated the coverage of different types of training health workers about infection control (IC), analyzed the changes in awareness in IC issues of medical staff, studied the influence of knowledge level on medical staff’s self-defense behavior, and also specified needs for teaching about IC different groups of medical staff.

Research method: self-completion of questionnaires by doctors and nurses of tuberculosis treatment units and infectious disease doctors from AIDS centers in regions, where the Project activities were implemented. During the first wave of the project realization (in November 2012) 330 respondents participated, during the second wave in August 2013 – 350 respondents, during the third wave in August 2014 – 343 respondents
