This research was implemented by AC “Socioconsulting” with the support of ISAR Ednannia within the framework of the Initiative of Sectoral Support of Civil Society project, which is implemented by ISAR Ednannia in a consortium with the Ukrainian Centre for Independent Political Research (UCIPR) and the Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law (CEDEM) thanks to the sincere support of the American people, provided through the United States Agency for International Development.
Its purpose was to analyze the challenges in IDP women’s economic activity, the effectiveness of measures implemented by authorities and civil society organizations to support such activity, and recommendations for improving the policy of supporting IDP women’s economic activity.
In this research we used quantitative and qualitative sociological methods that complemented each other. In particular, we conducted:
· desk analysis of current programs and measures implemented by state authorities, local governments and civil society organizations to ensure productive employment of IDP women;
· 2 focus groups with IDP women;
· 500 face-to-face interviews with IDP women aged 18-59 using tablets, national, targeted, quota sample;
· 25 in-depth interviews with experts and women who have experience participating in programs to support economic activity.
During the research, we analyzed the experience of finding a job in a new place of residence, problems and obstacles faced by three groups of IDP women: unemployed women, employees and women entrepreneurs.
